Bomac Engineering recently provided a local door manufacturer with a materials handling solution to reduce injury risks to workers loading CNC routing machines.

At the time, the company was using three CNC machines and considered purchasing a fourth, when it realised there was a high level of idle time on the current machines while waiting for panels to be loaded. CRANE INCREASES EFFICIENCY (PDF)

The Microlux Vacuum Lifter has a tailor-designed vacuum foot for lifting and moving oversized wine bottles.
Big Bottle Wines wanted to lift bottles approximately 600mm high, containing 9L of wine from a stilage and place them in individual crates for transport. These bottles are too heavy for one person to lift and manoeuvre unaided. With a focus on ergonomics, safety and efficiency, a solution was achieved. Equipped with the latest design in vacuum lifting feet, Bomac engineers were able to create a crane system to lift and move heavy items with limited surface area.
"A local door manufacturer came to Bomac with a difficult problem: their doors are manufactured with space for a window already cut out of them. The remaining surface area was too small to allow a traditional vacuum foot to lift the weight of the doors. SUPPLIER ARTICLE (PDF).

The Altrac gantry system can be mounted standing on the floor or from the roof. The lightweight aluminium structure requires few supports and can be mounted to most existing roof structures. The Altrac jib system has a smaller scope than the gantry system, and can be a useful tool for repetitive station operation. These systems can accommodate up to 1000kg SWL and handle any type of lifting mechanism. Manual, electric, pneumatic or vacuum hoists can be attached to either system.
